In addition to our core CHA operations, we operate a Custom Bonded Warehouse with Cold Chain facilities catering to clients across pharma, food & beverage, and perishable cargo segments.
As part of our growth journey, we are excited to announce our expansion into Chennai one of India's most dynamic ports and trade hubs. We are looking for a driven and experienced professional who can lead and manage our Chennai branch/Warehouse operations end-to-end.
Quality Assurance Executive/Manager- Warehouse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Executive to join our warehouse team. The Quality Assurance Executive will play a crucial role in ensuring that all warehouse operations adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing temperature monitoring, label inspection, in-process quality checks, maintaining preventive maintenance and calibration master list , impart trainings, Gemba walks, and other tasks outlined in the quality manual and by the management. The role demands attention to detail, solid analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Temperature Monitoring:
- Regularly monitor and record temperature levels in designated warehouse areas.
- Implement and maintain temperature control systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior QA Manager, Customer on temperature monitoring.
Label Inspection:
- Conduct thorough inspections of product labels to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with relevant departments such as printing to address and rectify any labelling discrepancies.
In-Process Quality Checks:
- Perform routine quality checks during different stages of the warehouse processes to identify and address deviations from quality standards.
- Work closely with production and logistics teams to implement corrective actions for quality improvement.
Preventive Maintenance and Calibration:
- To maintain annual preventive maintenance plan and calibration master List for the Warehouse.
- To monitor all the annual maintenance contracts, whether they are done as per schedule of the plan.
- To monitor calibration of equipment's are done as per defined schedule in the master list.
Gemba Walks:
- Conduct regular Gemba walks to observe and evaluate warehouse operations firsthand.
- Identify areas for improvement, provide constructive feedback, and work with teams to implement best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections, temperature monitoring, and other relevant data.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation, reports, and records are accurately maintained and submit periodic reports to the Senior QA Manager.
- Report any quality deviations, non-conformities, or emerging trends to the Senior QA Manager or Customer promptly.
- Collaborate with the Senior QA Manager in developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality control, to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in meetings and discussions to address quality-related issues and implement effective solutions.
- Work closely with the Senior QA Manager on collaborative initiatives aimed at improving overall quality management systems and processes.
Training and Development:
- Provide training to warehouse staff on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices to continually enhance knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs by providing insights and feedback to the Senior QA Manager.
- Actively participate in discussions and initiatives related to continuous improvement, offering suggestions, and implementing agreed-upon improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Quality Management, Industrial Engineering).
- Proven experience in a quality assurance role within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and industry regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with Gemba walks and continuous improvement methodologies.
