Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, execute, and support Functional, System Integration, Regression, End-to-End, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Execute and validate End-of-Cycle (EOC) and End-of-Settlement (EOS) processing within the Cortex platform.
- Validate billing cycles, statement generation, minimum payment due calculations, finance/profit charge calculations, payment allocation, delinquency processing, and write-off scenarios.
- Verify settlement processing, clearing and reconciliation, General Ledger (GL) postings, chargeback processing, dispute management, and financial reconciliation.
- Perform testing for card lifecycle processes including card issuance, replacement, re-issuance, renewal, activation, blocking, and closure.
- Validate bulk file processing for corporate card issuance, replacement, re-issuance, and due file generation.
- Execute end-to-end testing for new card product launches, co-branded card implementations, and scheme enhancements.
- Prepare and execute Visa Test System (VTS) scripts covering transaction scenarios such as POS, ATM, E-commerce, Refunds, Refund Reversals, and ON-US/OFF-US transactions.
- Validate batch processing, cut-off timings, scheduled jobs, and downstream impacts on dependent applications.
- Perform backend validation using SQL queries and Unix/Linux commands to verify database updates, batch execution, and application logs.




- Analyze ISO 8583 messages, authorization logs, settlement files, reconciliation files, and transaction processing logs.
- Validate integrations between Cortex and Core Banking Systems, CRM, Fraud Management Systems, reporting platforms, payment gateways, and external APIs.
- Prepare and manage test data, including synthetic and shadow accounts, to support comprehensive functional and integration testing.
- Log, track, retest, and validate defects while working closely with development, business, and support teams to ensure timely resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

- Hands-on experience with the Cortex Card Management System.
- Solid knowledge of card issuing, card lifecycle management, authorization, clearing, settlement, billing, collections, chargebacks, and dispute management.
- Experience in executing End-of-Cycle (EOC) and End-of-Settlement (EOS) testing.
- Strong understanding of payment transaction processing and card scheme message flows.
- Experience with Visa Test System (VTS) or equivalent card scheme certification testing.
- Proficiency in SQL for backend database validation.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Experience analyzing ISO 8583 messages, authorization logs, settlement files, and reconciliation reports.
- Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with defect management and test management tools such as Jira, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
