PCB/Board Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented PCB/Board Design Engineer with 23 years of hands-on experience in schematic capture, PCB layout, and board development. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of high-speed digital and mixed-signal PCB design, component selection, and design validation. Exposure to FPGA-based hardware design will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop multilayer PCBs from schematic to production.
- Create and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, fabrication, and assembly documentation.
- Perform component selection based on electrical, thermal, and cost requirements.
- Ensure PCB designs comply with signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), EMC/EMI, DFM, and DFA guidelines.
- Coordinate with firmware, FPGA, mechanical, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, validation, and design improvements.
- Interface with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve manufacturing-related issues.
- Maintain design documentation and engineering change records.

Required Skills

- 2–3 years of experience in PCB/Board Design.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer,



Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, or KiCad.
- Valuable understanding of multilayer PCB stack-up, routing, impedance control, and high-speed design practices.
- Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Knowledge of DDR, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, or other high-speed interfaces is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with FPGA-based hardware platforms.
- Basic understanding of FPGA architectures and development workflows (Altera or AMD/Xilinx).
- Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, DDR memory interfaces, and power supply design.
- Knowledge of SI/PI analysis tools is an added advantage.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Added Advantage

- Exposure to aerospace, defense, industrial automation, semiconductor, or embedded hardware development.
- Understanding of hardware validation, compliance testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working in cross-functional product development teams.
