Job Summary:

As a Purchase Engineer (Imports) , you have to manage the end-to-end procurement process by sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing with strict compliance and accurate record-keeping to ensure a reliable, high-quality supply chain. Track and optimize key KPI metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), supplier defect rates (PPM), and cost savings to continuously improve supply chain efficiency.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

- End-to-End Procurement : Source materials from local and foreign suppliers while complying with active sourcing rules.
- RFQ & Selection : Validate Quotes from suppliers, analyze quotations, and create detailed comparative statements for best supplier.
- Order Management : Generate purchase orders to suppliers while aligning deliveries with customer deadlines and Oracle demand dates.
- Oracle Data Maintenance : Maintain absolute accuracy when executing and updating attribute studies, parameters, and tracking settings in the Oracle system.
- Supplier Performance Management : Monitor and drive supplier metrics (OTD, PPM) regarding delivery, lead time, and capacity, aligning with global vendor policies.
- Inventory Control : Actively review excess or "D-excess" stock, route parts to active demand with QC approval, and allocate to open demand.
- Vendor payments : Before GRN / Payment booking, ensure transparent vendor invoices as per Purchase order and ensure on time payments as per agreed payment terms.
- Relationship Management : Serve as the daily point of contact for external vendors to build, optimize, and maintain reliable buyer-seller partnerships.




- Reporting & KPIs : Generate and maintain regular procurement data, spend analyses, and supply chain reports to keep leadership informed.
- Customs Clearance & Documentation : Knowledge on Customs clearance documents like AWB, BOL, BOE etc and aware about basic compliance to be met for Imports customs clearance.

For This Role, You Will Need:

- Engineering / Diploma or Equivalent Degree

- 5+ years Material Planning / Purchasing experience.

- Oracle Experience will be an added advantage

- Strong negotiation skills, Supplier capacity and capability analysis.

- Implementing an improved efficient sourcing strategy to avoid the lead time and other indirect cost.

- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and a good team player

- Product cost Estimation

- Familiar with ISO9001 standard requirement / quality requirements.
