Position : Mainframe Developer

Location : Chennai and Pune( 5 days a week Work from Office (WFO mandatory)

Job Description

Application Development Write and update clean efficient code using COBOL and JCL

Online Transactions Create and manage realtime userfacing screens using CICS

Data Management Design and maintain databases using DB2 and organize files with VSAM

Testing and Debugging Run unit tests and use debugging tools to find and fix code errors

System Maintenance Monitor scheduled tasks and quickly fix any system crashes or job failures

Collaboration Work closely with business analysts testers and other teams to understand system requirements

Required Technical Skills

COBOL Solid handson programming experience for core business logic

JCL Deep knowledge of writing scripts to manage and run batch jobs

CICS Experience creating and supporting online realtime user screens

DB2 Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases

VSAM Handson experience managing file structure
