Plant Head is responsible for developing and implementing the business strategy for the plant in alignment to overall

divisional strategy. The role holder is directly accountable for the P&L; of a 500 Crore plant / business unit.

Responsibilities include achieving budgeted targets for cost, quality, delivery and productivity for the plant. The role

holder is responsible for overseeing all functions in the plant to ensure smooth plant operations and deliverables of the

plant / unit manufacturing ecosystem. This also includes implementation of initiatives to fulfil future business objectives

and continuity.

Educational Qualification / Experience required:

- Graduate / Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering

- Experience of over 20 years in production and related functions, in manufacturing sector

- Should possess experience in implementing manufacturing systems including lean manufacturing system, JIT

production or other system

- Should have previous experience of handling / managing large teams

- Should possess exposure in handling plant functions including people management / employee relations and statutory

requirements





- Should possess understanding of the Auto Component sector and the supply chain in the Auto sector

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for developing the business plan and strategy for the plant / business unit in alignment to the Divisional

plan, strategy and objectives

2. Responsible for planning, implementing the production strategy and ensuring deliverables of the Production team as

per set targets, standards and customer delivery commitments

3. Responsible for achievement of cost, quality, delivery and productivity targets for all functions across the plant and

guide in resolution of issues

4. Develop and implement the initiatives to improve production capability, recent line / machine / equipment introduction,

machine performance and maintenance

5. Oversee maintenance of plant facility, administration and compliance to statutory requirements in the plant

6. Responsible for key customer, vendor / supplier and other external stakeholders relations for the plant

7. Set direction for the plant / unit and lead the team
