As a growing technology company, the Assistant Manager Human Resources plays a key role in supporting business growth by driving HR excellence and fostering a positive, high-performing work environment.
Role Summary
The Assistant Manager HR is responsible for executing HR strategies and managing recruitment, employee lifecycle, payroll support, statutory compliance, performance management, employee engagement, HR operations, and policy implementation while partnering with business leaders to achieve organizational goals.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment by partnering with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements and workforce planning.
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, employee referrals, recruitment consultants, and campus drives; conduct HR interviews and ensure smooth interview process.
- Conduct market salary benchmarking, recommend compensation and negotiate offers.
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage employee onboarding, probation confirmations, exits, exit interviews, full & final settlements, and relieving formalities in coordination with IT, Admin, and Finance.
3. Performance, Compensation & Benefits
- Coordinate performance appraisal cycles, goal setting, salary revisions, promotions, annual salary surveys.
- Process payroll inputs through HRMS and review monthly salary sheets.
- Administer employee perks, including PF, ESI, Gratuity, Group Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, and other statutory benefits.
4. HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain employee records and HRMS accuracy and issue employment-related letters.
- Manage HR operations, including vendor identification, renewals of HR services (HRMS, Naukri), monitoring monthly HR budgets, and publication of quarterly company newsletters.
5. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs, coordinate training programs, maintain training records, evaluate training effectiveness, and support employee development initiatives.
6. Compliance & HR Policies
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, PoSH guidelines, and HR audits.
- Implement, review, and improve HR policies, ensure policy adherence across the organization, and maintain the HR Playbook.
7. Employee Engagement & HR Projects
- Organize employee engagement, CSR, wellness, recognition, and team-building initiatives; conduct employee satisfaction surveys and drive action plans.
- Prepare headcount, attrition, and resource planning reports; research industry attrition trends, benchmark organizational attrition against the market, analyze root causes, recommend retention strategies.
8. Team Management
- Supervise, mentor, and guide the HR Executive/Junior HR team member in day-to-day HR activities, ensuring timely and accurate execution of assigned responsibilities.
Qualification
- MBA/PGDM/Master's degree in Human Resources or Personnel Management preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, including 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Professional Tax, Shops & Establishments Act, PoSH, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee engagement, HRMS, and HR analytics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving skills.
