SAP Fiori Testing Consultant (Time Management Apps) Relevant 5 Plus yrs

Work you'll do:

Test Planning & Strategy: Design and execute test strategies for a portfolio of 20+ SAP Fiori Time Management apps, covering functional, UI, and integration testing across web and mobile form factors.

Functional Testing: Build and execute test scenarios validating Fiori app behavior against underlying OData services and backend time management processes (leave requests, time entry, approvals, quota views, etc.).

Automation Testing: Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts for Fiori apps (e.g., using TOSCA or equivalent UI automation tools), enabling repeatable regression coverage across the app portfolio.

Regression Testing: Own regression test coverage for Fiori apps impacted by backend configuration or OData service changes, ensuring existing functionality remains intact across releases.

Cross-Layer Validation: Validate data consistency between Fiori front-end transactions and backend SAP HCM infotypes/tables, working with functional and technical teams to isolate root cause of defects (UI, OData, or backend).

Defect Management: Log, triage, and track defects through resolution, distinguishing UI/UX issues from OData/backend issues, and retest fixes across affected apps.

Device/Browser Coverage: Test Fiori apps across relevant browsers and devices to ensure consistent behavior and responsive design compliance.

SIT/UAT Support: Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, coordinating sign-off with business stakeholders.





Documentation: Maintain test scripts, test result logs, and a defect/traceability log spanning the full app portfolio.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 application testing, ideally within an SAP HCM or Time Management context.

Proven experience testing multiple Fiori apps in parallel (portfolio-level testing), not just single-app testing.

Hands-on experience with test automation tools for Fiori/web UI (TOSCA or similar); ability to build and maintain automated scripts independently.

Working knowledge of OData services (v2/v4) and ability to distinguish UI issues from service/backend issues during defect triage.

Experience executing SIT cycles and supporting UAT, including defect management and retesting.

Robust understanding of SAP HCM-standard testing terminology (e.g., Positive Functional Test, Personnel Subgroup Variant).

Excellent communication skills, with ability to work directly with functional, technical, and business teams.

Good to have:

Experience with SAP Time Management processes (time entry, leave/quota management, approvals) from a functional perspective.

Exposure to SAP BTP-based Fiori app deployments.

Experience with S/4HANA landscapes.

Familiarity with mobile Fiori app testing.

SAP or Fiori-specific testing certification.

Education:

BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
