We are looking for a person to lead the Engineering function
This is a key position reporting directly to the COO & Co Founder and has a high degree of authority, responsibility and autonomy.
Are you someone who:
Is passionate about building well engineered products
Has prior experience in architecting and delivering solutions in the BFSI and Loan Management domain Familiar with latest web technologies
Has prior experience in Loan Origination backend implementations or Core banking backend implementations Is keen on working on cutting edge product and platform which leverages data analytics (we have
our own proprietary scoring and profiling data models)
Has strong conception skills to engineer and architect for large scale while keeping in mind reality of day-to-day deliverables.
Has a strong orientation towards product delivery and end result
Is a product thinker having familiarity with various product design processes CreditMantri is a profitable Fintech headquartered in Chennai, founded and run by a team with extensive experience in world-class financial services organizations. With over 17 Mn users and
working with 50+ lenders, our aspiration is to help the Credit Invisibles get access to credit. Data and technology are core drivers to make this possible.
The engineering, UI design, and testing teams have been created and are in place and has close to 50
persons. CreditMantri is looking for a leader for this function. Our technology platform caters to 2 stakeholders consumers on one side and lenders on the other besides catering to internal teams like
Operations, TeleSales, Service, Data Science etc. Internally, the stakeholders would be the Business
Units, Product, Data Science, Marketing, Operations & Service teams.
Responsibilities
1. Bringing in current generation technologies to enable the platform to operate at web scale.
2. Conceptualise the platform architecture, make the right technology choices, guide the engineering
team, manage the DevOps and DevSecOps processes, focus on the security posture of the
platform,



sustain and improve upon the existing engineering processes
3. Play a pivotal role in working with the leadership team to drive the organization to greatness.
4. Work closely with the management team to ensure organization and technology alignment.
5. Position will be part of the Leadership Team at CreditMantri, responsible for influencing the growth
of the organization.
6. Solve complex technology challenges, drive engineering recruitment, team building and motivation, platform evangelization, technology solutioning, and generally be the technology custodian of the organization.

In Summary
The ideal candidate should be a technology leader with strong understanding of BFSI & Loan Management space. They are aware and keen on the opportunities presented by digital and have strong experience on digital, mobile applications.
He / she should be deeply immersed about technology and be able to solve complex software engineering challenges.
The person needs to be able to work with institutional enterprise platforms,
while building a contemporary technology stack.
Familiarity with fintech platforms, but with the mindset and the attitude that a startup needs, is the ideal profile.
Strong motivator, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and capacity to lead and build the platform and influence the course of the organization.
Knowledge of DPDP (Digital Personal Data Protection) guidelines and data privacy compliance requirements

Work Exp

Hands on 15+ years experience in delivering engineering solutions.
Prior experience in cloud delivered platforms with experience in web,




mobile tech Building scalable backend architecture for supporting a customer-facing exploding fronted tier Prior experience building data-driven applications (e.g., able to use insights in guiding dynamic display of relevant content to users)
Working with and mentoring technically strong junior engineers
Ability to gather and understand business requirements, map to high level design and then produce and own the low-level design and implementation.

Chart out the engineering roadmap for product integration amongst our
various offerings enabling the business to service end customers and
lenders in a more effective manner

Bias to action, leadership and ownership are essential for success
Hands-on deployment experience with one of the public cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering best practices
Exposure to Information Security & IT governance processes Experience on AI platform lead

Proficiency
Agile development with a strong bias towards clean code, core engineering processes
Web technologies full stack
Architecting solutions on web and mobile frontends
Familiar with data marts and modelling methodologies
