Job Description / Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate with strong expertise in U.S. taxation and accounting. In this role, you will:

- Prepare and review IRS tax filings, including Form 1040, 1120 (C-Corp and S-Corp), 1065 (Partnership), 1099, and other mandatory federal and state returns.
- Manage general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and oversee month-end/year-end closing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and stay current with updates in U.S. tax laws.
- Support and enhance internal controls and recommend process improvements.
- Provide Leadership and guidance to other professionals in the Office.

Our tax professionals typically work 40 hours a week during non-busy season, and 55-60 hours a week during busy season. The office is closed on Sundays

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial tasks in a fast-paced environment.





- 4+ years of experience in accounting/taxation, preferably in public accounting or tax advisory firms.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws.
- Proven expertise in preparing and filing U.S. tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Qualifications

- Masters degree in finance or accounting with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- CPA or EA certification strongly preferred.

Key Skills

- Hands-on experience with U.S. taxation in public accounting/tax advisory firms.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Lacerte, or similar accounting/tax software.
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Robust time management skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
