- Analyze and understand the operational principles and dynamic behavior of various electric machine types (e.g., PM, Induction, SynRM) to identify key sources of NVH excitation (electromagnetic forces, torque ripple, etc.).
- Extract, process, and analyze simulation results to obtain the required dynamic load data (time-series, frequency domain), potentially utilizing tools like MATLAB for advanced post-processing and visualization.
- Develop and execute advanced simulation methodologies, primarily using ANSYS Mechanical and potentially coupled electromagnetic-structural approaches (e.g., integrating with ANSYS Motor-CAD or Maxwell), to accurately predict dynamic forces and torques generated by electric motors.
- Interpret simulation results in the context of electric machine physics and NVH requirements, ensuring the generated loads are physically representative and suitable for downstream analysis.
- Excellent knowledge in usage of ANSYS connectors and contact in model built.
- Excellent skills in debugging ANSYS errors and convergence issues.
Skill Set:
- Ansys /Maxwell (Electromagnetic simulation)
Domain Knowledge:
- Experience with coupled electromagnetic-structural analysis for electric machines using ANSYS tools (Maxwell, Motor-CAD, Mechanical).
- Good knowledge on Powertrain Systems and architectures.
- Valuable knowledge in debugging Ansys errors and convergenece issues.
