Role & responsibilities

1. Agency Recruitment & Activation

- Identify, recruit, and onboard insurance advisors/agents as per defined norms.
- Ensure timely licensing and activation of agents.
- Build a solid and sustainable agency network in the assigned geography.

2. Business Development & Sales

- Drive premium generation through the agency channel.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (AOP aligned).
- Monitor agent productivity and ensure continuous business flow.

3. Agent Training & Development

- Conduct training sessions on products, sales techniques, and processes.
- Guide agents on customer acquisition and closure strategies.
- Ensure agents are updated on product changes and market offerings.

4. Relationship Management

- Build strong engagement with agents to drive retention and loyalty.
- Conduct regular meetings, field visits,



and performance reviews with agents.
- Resolve agent queries and provide end-to-end sales support.

5. Operational & Process Excellence

- Ensure accurate and timely submission of proposals and documentation.
- Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams.
- Maintain hygiene on policy issuance and follow up on pending cases.

6. Governance & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company policies.
- Maintain documentation and audit compliance for agent activities.
- Monitor mis-selling and take corrective actions where required.
