Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Administer and maintain databases including Redis and Spanner

Architect multi-region active-active replication setups, Redis Cluster topologies, and integration with stream-processing

Support and optimize distributed databases, particularly Google Spanner

4

Implement and maintain cloud-based database solutions on GCP or other cloud platforms

5

Diagnose latency spikes, CPU/memory bloat, Out-Of-Memory (OOM) crashes, and optimize command pipelining and single-threaded event-loop operations

Perform complex debugging for data persistence failures (RDB/AOF), connection drops, and distributed lock synchronization Issues

7

Ensure database security, backup, and recovery procedures are in place and effective

8

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner

9

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application performance and scalability

10

Support Migration activities from DB PlatformRole & responsibilities
