Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Officer with 2 to 4 years of experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and client EHS requirements across project sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, statutory regulations, and client safety requirements.
- Conduct safety induction programs and daily toolbox talks for employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor the usage and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Implement and monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
- Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA/JSA) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Monitor excavation, lifting, confined space, work at height, electrical, and hot work activities for safe execution.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident registers,



training records, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives on safety matters.
- Participate in internal and client safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across project sites.

Candidate Profile

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Engineering or any relevant discipline.
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution.
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a Safety Officer in civil construction, pipeline, UGSS, water supply, STP, or infrastructure projects.
- Sound knowledge of construction safety practices, PTW, HIRA/JSA, PPE management, and accident investigation.
- Valuable communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Willing to travel and work at project sites across Tamil Nadu.
