Roles and responsibilities

- Conduct offensive security assessments across 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE and 5G networks.
- Perform penetration testing across RAN, Core, IMS, OSS/BSS and network-management environments.
- Assess telecom protocols including SS7, Diameter, GTP and SIP.
- Test BTS/eNodeB/gNodeB, HLR/HSS/MME, EPC and 5G Core components.
- Evaluate VoLTE, VoWiFi, voicemail, IVR, SMS and related telecom services.
- Test CPE, smartphones, SIM/eSIM, routers and IoT devices.
- Identify and demonstrate vulnerabilities through controlled exploitation.
- Perform network reconnaissance, packet analysis, protocol testing and security-control validation.
- Develop scripts and proof-of-concept exploits using Python, Bash or similar technologies.
- Document findings, attack scenarios, business impact and remediation recommendations.
- Present results to clients, engineering teams and security stakeholders.
- Retest vulnerabilities after remediation and verify closure.
- Track emerging telecom threats,



vulnerabilities and offensive techniques.

Required skills

- Strong hands-on penetration-testing or red-team experience.
- Practical exposure to telecom operator, OEM or telecom consulting environments.
- Strong knowledge of telecom architecture across RAN, Core, IMS and signaling.
- Experience testing SS7, Diameter, GTP and SIP.
- Familiarity with Wireshark, Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux and similar tools.
- Experience with Python or other security-automation scripting.
- Strong reporting, client communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Significant requirement

Candidates with only network operations, firewall administration, SOC, SIEM or vulnerability-scanning experience will not be considered. The position requires direct, hands-on offensive security testing within telecom environments.
