Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GIS Engineer to lead a team involved in Cadastral Mapping, Scan Map Digitization, Satellite Map Digitization, Town Basemap Digitization, Image Interpretation, Telecom Permitting, and Construction Drawings Production.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical GIS skills, project coordination abilities, quality control expertise, and experience managing production teams delivering large-scale mapping and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

GIS Production & Mapping

- Lead and supervise GIS technicians and engineers in the execution of geospatial projects.
- Manage cadastral mapping projects involving parcel creation, land records digitization, ROW mapping, and boundary verification.
- Perform and review scan-based map digitization using historical maps, survey plans, utility maps, and engineering drawings.
- Ensure accurate georeferencing, Digitization, topology creation, and GIS database maintenance.
- Develop and maintain GIS datasets adhering to project-specific standards and client requirements.

Telecom Permitting & Construction Drawings

- Review telecom site design packages, permitting documents, zoning plans, and construction drawings.
- Support telecom permitting workflows including site acquisition, permitting packages, utility coordination,



and regulatory submissions.
- Interpret engineering and construction drawings for telecom infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with drafting teams to ensure compliance with client standards and local regulations.
- Team training and capacity building.

Team Leadership & Quality Control

- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and manage project schedules.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of GIS deliverables.
- Mentor junior GIS engineers and technicians.
- Prepare project status reports and communicate progress to management and clients.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality.

Education

- Bachelors Degree

Technical Skills

- AutoCAD Map 3D, ArGIS Desktop, QGIS
- Experience in cadastral mapping, parcel editing, and land records management.
- Good understanding of OS Maps, Scan Maps digitization.
- Land base creation and Existing utilities drafting.
- Positive understanding of Layouts, Map Scales, Templates using CAD and GIS.
- Understanding of telecom permitting workflows and construction drawing.
- Familiarity with Geo-Database.
- Proficiency in project documentation with Microsoft Office.
