We are seeking a hands on SAP FICO Consultant with expertise in S/4HANA and BlackLine integration.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in strengthening our month end close processes and enabling compliant, efficient journal entries and reconciliations.

Job Summary

The SAP FICO Consultant will lead the implementation and integration of BlackLine with S/4HANA, collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver end to end solutions.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes, configuration, and data migration, along with the ability to mentor peers and drive process improvements

.Responsibilities

- Lead and participate in solution design workshops; prepare and present Design Authority (DA) content for Finance, including BlackLine integration and Tagetik touchpoints.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams, as well as third party vendors (e.g., BlackLine), to ensure successful delivery of integrated solutions.
- Execute FI configuration and build, including controls, while managing documentation and approvals (Trac, FRICEW Service Requests).
- Plan and conduct testing phases, from unit testing to formal testing, managing defects and obtaining necessary sign offs.
- Support data migration activities, including mapping, trial loads, and reconciliations.
- Contribute to market/test support and early go live activities to ensure a smooth transition.
- Plan and support cutover activities (both technical and business) and stabilization efforts; deliver Knowledge Transfer (KT) to Business As Usual (BAU) teams and other consultants.
- Provide ongoing BAU support post go live and drive continuous process improvements.
- Partner with Product/Program stakeholders to define requirements, scope deliverables, and ensure timely, high quality outcomes.

Mandatory Skills

- Proven experience with SAP Management Accounting ECC on S/4HANA, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), month end close processes, and journal postings.
- Expertise in month end close procedures and journal posting controls, ensuring policy compliance and maintaining an audit trail.
- Strong knowledge of master data management, including Chart of Accounts (CoA), GL, vendors/customers, assets, and cost objects.
- Familiarity with key tables and reports such as ACDOCA, BKPF/BSEG, BSID/BSAD, BSIK/BSAK, and standard reports like FAGLL03, FS10N, FBL1N/FBL3N/FBL5N.
- Understanding of workflow basics and integration awareness within SAP environments.
- Basic understanding of Hybris Architecture and how FI interacts with various systems and modules.
- Strong documentation skills, Stakeholder Management abilities, and change control discipline.

Preferred Skills

- Hands on experience with BlackLine (Tasks, Recs, Journals) and/or exposure to Tagetik.
- Familiarity with tools such as SAP Solution Manager TechOps, JIRA, Trac, and SAP CPI/PO.
- Experience with Cloud DB Migration Planning.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SAP FICO (S/4HANA preferred); consulting experience is ideal, totaling 8+ years of professional experience.
- A degree in business, economics, data analytics, or a related field is required; a Masters degree is a plus.
- Demonstrated curiosity, quality driven mindset, and structured/critical thinking skills; comfortable with ambiguity.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and storytelling.
