Role Overview

The Golang Developer will design, build, and operate high-performance services and system tooling using Go. The role requires hands-on experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) to package, deploy, scale, and monitor services. You will work primarily on Linux or Windows (and be open to learning the other) and automate routine tasks with Bash or PowerShell. Success in this role involves robust systems thinking, performance optimization, and reliable, maintainable code with solid observability and troubleshooting practices.

Required Qualifications

- Strong programming experience in Go (Golang)
- Experience with a systems language (e.g., Go or similar systems languages)
- Hands-on experience with Docker (containerization)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (orchestration)
- Experience with Linux or Windows OS; willingness to learn the other
- Scripting experience in Bash or PowerShell
- Experience building and managing high-performance systems




- Understanding of system internals (processes, memory, networking) is a plus

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Go-based services, tools, and system components
- Build, containerize, and ship applications using Docker with efficient images and repeatable builds
- Deploy, scale, and manage services on Kubernetes, including health checks and rolling updates
- Automate operational tasks and tooling using Bash or PowerShell
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance across Linux or Windows environments
- Implement observability (logs/metrics/traces) and use profiling to tune performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, improve reliability, and document runbooks
- Apply systems knowledge to diagnose low-level issues; leverage understanding of system internals where applicable
