Role Overview

The Senior Engineer – Wiring Harness & Electrical will be responsible for the design, development, validation, and integration of vehicle wiring harness and electrical systems for two-wheeler/EV platforms. The role requires robust technical expertise and cross-functional coordination to ensure robust and manufacturable electrical architecture.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop complete vehicle wiring harness systems.
- Prepare wiring schematics, harness layouts, and BOMs.
- Define electrical architecture and harness routing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with automotive and EV electrical standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers for harness development and manufacturability.
- Support DFM/DFA reviews for harness and electrical components.
- Participate in DVP planning and validation activities.
- Support vehicle integration and troubleshooting activities.
- Manage engineering changes (ECN/ECR) and documentation updates.
- Ensure harness readiness for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
- Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures.
- Work closely with NPD,



Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering.
- 4–6 years of experience in automotive or EV wiring harness development.
- Hands-on experience with wiring harness design tools (Capital, CATIA Electrical, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of connectors, terminals, fuses, relays, and protection strategies.
- Good understanding of automotive electrical architecture.

Required Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Good understanding of harness manufacturing processes.
- Effective cross-functional coordination skills.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and validation processes.
- Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in EV two-wheeler programs.
- Exposure to EMI/EMC considerations.
- Experience in fast-paced or startup environments.
