Role Purpose

The Digital Solutions & Operational Excellence Specialist (Contract) is responsible for designing, enabling, and sustaining effective ways of working across Product Science & Technology (PS&T;). This role translates strategy into execution by maintaining operational metrics, enabling knowledge flow, and deploying digital tools that improve efficiency, transparency, and decision-making. The role also serves as a forward-looking integrator, ensuring PS&T; evolves its operating model and digital capabilities to meet future needs.

Core Responsibilities

- Support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of PS&T; digital solutions, including Microsoft Power Platform applications such as PowerApps, Power BI dashboards, and Power Automate workflows. This includes day-to-day support of existing tools (e.g., Formulation Manager, PST Dashboard, Onboarding App, Risk Review Action Items) to ensure stability, usability, and alignment with evolving PS&T; business needs. Responsibilities cover troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, managing version updates, and coordinating fixes or improvements with global IT or external partners where required.
- Administration, configuration, and access governance of PS&T; collaboration platforms, primarily across SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Planner, and related M365 services. This includes managing site structures, document libraries, metadata, permissions, and group ownership for PST SharePoint sites, Document Centers, group subsites, external collaboration spaces, and MyAccess groups. The role ensures that information is well organized, access is compliant with internal security and data privacy requirements, and collaboration environments are easy to use and scalable for global and cross regional teams.
- User support, training, and adoption enablement for PS&T; digital tools and platforms. The role serves as a key point of contact for PS&T; scientists, project leaders, and managers, helping users resolve technical issues, understand tool functionality, and adopt best practices.



This may include preparing user guides, short training materials, FAQs, or onboarding documentation, as well as gathering user feedback to inform future improvements.
- Participation improvingtal transformation and automation initiatives within PS&T;, including identification of opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual data handling, and improve visibility of project and portfolio information. This may involve designing or extending Power Automate flows, integrating data sources into Power BI, or supporting low code/no code solutions that improve operational efficiency across formulation development, risk reviews, onboarding, and reporting.
- Potential development and support of AI enabled solutions, such as internal AI chat agents or copilots, to enhance knowledge access, user support, and data retrieval within PS&T.; This includes collaborating with IT, data, and business stakeholders to define use cases, support proof of concept development, manage permissions and content sources, and ensure responsible and compliant use of AI technologies.
- Ongoing coordination with PS&T; leadership, global IT, and other functional partners to align digital tools with business priorities, governance standards, and future roadmap needs. The role contributes to defining requirements, documenting changes, supporting audits or reviews, and ensuring that PS&T; digital platforms remain robust, compliant, and fit for purpose as the organization grows and evolves.
- Learn and contribute to PS&T; Signals and research data digital transformation, including research data collection and reporting (i.e. Signals, Spotfire).

Technology & AI Stewardship

- Stay current on evolving software and digital technologies, including Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, Loop, Viva Engage, and other collaboration, automation,



and knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Assess emerging technologies for practical applicability within PS&T;, focusing on efficiency gains, knowledge management, decision support, and user experience.
- Pilot, scale, and govern adoption of new digital and AI-enabled capabilities to ensure value delivery, responsible use, and alignment with PS&T; objectives.
- Establish guardrails, best practices, and usage patterns for digital and AI tools to promote consistency, security, and sustainable adoption.
- Enable effective communication and engagement across PS&T; using contemporary channels and tools, including the PS&T; Newsletter and Viva Engage.
- Act as a liaison between PS&T;, IT, and digital partners to align technology capabilities with operational needs and future growth.

Required Qualifications

- A bachelor's degree with relevant experience in work areas outlined in core responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint, Teams, PowerApps, Power Automate, and digital productivity or analytics tools.
- Comfort evaluating and applying emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, in a business context.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive adoption without formal authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently in a global environment.
