Position Summary

The Sr. QA Engineer, SAP, is responsible for translating the functional spec into technical analysis and creating a test plan to thoroughly test the functionality of the business requirement for SAP Financial. This position will be leading the SAP configuration testing efforts for the SAP QA and reporting back to Management. In addition, this position is responsible for executing detailed system test plan, issue reporting, issue resolution, and regression testing.

Essential Duties Responsibilities Sr.QA Engineer (SAP FICO)

- Understand and analyze business requirements and functional specifications across SAP FICO modules (GL, AP AR).
- Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases aligned with business processes.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing for SAP Finance implementations and enhancements.
- Validate SAP FICO configurations, financial postings, and end-to-end business scenarios.
- Ensure accurate testing of integrations between FI and other modules such as MM and SD.
- Identify, log, track, and drive defects to closure with explicit documentation and root cause analysis.
- Perform re-testing and regression testing to ensure stability of fixes and releases.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure quality delivery.
- Support tax, regulatory, and localization testing (e.g., GST, e-invoicing, country-specific compliance).
- Prepare and maintain test data, test artifacts, and QA documentation ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
- Monitor QA metrics, risks, and testing progress; provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Mentor junior QA team members and support knowledge sharing across teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Demonstrate a strong QA mindset with an automation-first approach, identifying opportunities to improve test coverage,



efficiency, and repeatability through test automation.

Experience

- An ideal candidate must have 6+ years of SAP Finance/FICO experience with exposure to 1 2 full life cycle implementations, preferably in APAC Finance.
- Experience in supporting SAP Finance operations, enhancements, production support, and business-as-usual activities.
- Strong understanding of SAP FI business processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial postings - Essential.
- Knowledge of finance-related tax processing, statutory requirements, and country-specific localization such as GST, VAT, e-invoicing, withholding tax, or similar compliance areas - Essential.
- Understanding of financial configuration areas such as company code, chart of accounts, fiscal year variant, posting periods, document types, tax codes, payment terms, and account determination - Essential.
- Experience validating SAP FICO configurations, financial transactions, journal entries, vendor/customer postings, and reconciliation scenarios - Essential.
- Experience testing integrations between FI and other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and CO, including end-to-end business process validation - Essential.
- Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end finance activities, support packs, upgrades, and implementation/testing activities would be a plus.
- Hands-on experience with SAP standard financial reports, regulatory reports, audit-related outputs, and financial data validation.
- Experience in executing functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing for SAP Finance/FICO implementations, enhancements, and releases.

- Must have good documentation skills and should be able to work in global environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Worked on Agile/Scrum is a plus.
