IFS Applications Architect - Source System SME
Position: IFS Applications Architect
Role Purpose: Source System SME for ERP Migration Program
Experience: 10 to 15+ Years (8+ Years in IFS Applications)
Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive Preferred

Background
Seeking an experienced IFS Applications Architect to support ERP migration from IFS Applications 8 to SAP. The role will act as the single point of contact for understanding IFS business processes, data structures, reporting, transactional flows, data extraction and source-to-target mapping activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the go-to SME for IFS Applications across Finance, Procurement, Materials, SCM, Manufacturing, Sales, Projects and Quality.
- Explain IFS business processes, transactions, reports, tables, fields and data relationships to project teams.
- Support SAP functional teams in understanding source-system processes and mapping requirements.
- Provide data extracts on demand during discovery, design, testing, mock cycles, cutover and hypercare.
- Define extraction logic, field definitions, business rules and transformation requirements.
- Support ETL and data migration teams with source data interpretation and reconciliation activities.
- Participate in SIT, UAT, Mock Loads, Cutover and Hypercare support activities.
- Perform root-cause analysis for migration and data-related issues from IFS perspective.

Technical Skills

- Solid IFS database knowledge and SQL querying capability
- Experience in data extraction, ETL and migration support
- Understanding of IFS data model and customizations
- Experience supporting ERP migration programs and data reconciliation

Education & Preferred Experience

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or IT
- IFS Apps 8 hands-on experience is mandatory
- IFS to SAP migration experience preferred
- Manufacturing / Automotive industry experience preferred
- Experience in multi-plant and multi-company ERP environments

- Enable timely data extraction across all migration cycles
- Reduce source-side ambiguity during design and testing
- Act as the bridge between legacy IFS and target SAP solution
