We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer for to support pre-sales activities and solution design of enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including wired LAN, WAN, high-density wireless (Wi-Fi), firewall security, and SDA (Software Defined Access) environments. This role sits at the intersection of technical excellence and customer engagement helping design winning solutions for enterprise and factory connectivity projects.

Role & responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Network Designing

- Engage with customers to understand business and technical requirements
- Translate requirements into High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD)
- Design LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Security architectures
- Plan IP addressing schemes, VLAN architecture, and segmentation strategy
- Develop high availability and redundancy designs
- Create wireless coverage, RF planning, and capacity designs for enterprise and high-density environments
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), BOQ, and technical proposals
- Support RFP / RFQ responses and technical documentation
- Deliver technical presentations and solution discussions with clients
- Work with OEMs, vendors, and internal sales teams for solution validation and costing

2. Network Architecture & Planning

- Design enterprise network topologies (Core / Distribution / Access models)
- Plan SDA fabric architecture (Edge, Border, Control nodes) aligned to design standards
- Define WAN architectures (MPLS / SD-WAN / Broadband) for branch connectivity
- Create network segmentation and policy-based design frameworks
- Design secure network frameworks including Zero Trust and NAC principles

3. Wireless Network Design (Wi-Fi)

- Conduct pre-sales site surveys and RF assessment planning
- Design AP placement using heatmaps and predictive planning tools
- Architect solutions for high-density Wi-Fi environments
- Plan channel allocation, power levels,



and roaming optimisation strategies
- Recommend tools like Ekahau for survey and validation

4. Security & Compliance Design

- Design firewall architectures (Cisco / Fortinet / Palo Alto)
- Define VPN solutions (IPSec / SSL) for remote connectivity
- Architect Zero Trust, NAC, 802.1X, and ISE-based access control frameworks
- Plan network segmentation (user / device / guest isolation)
- Ensure design compliance with security standards and policies

5. Documentation & Design Handover

- Prepare HLD, LLD, network diagrams, and solution documents
- Maintain design documentation, assumptions, and dependencies
- Provide design walkthroughs to delivery and implementation teams
- Support clarifications during project execution phase
- Assist in design validation and architecture reviews

Core Networking

- LAN / WAN / TCP-IP fundamentals
- Routing: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- Switching: VLAN, STP, Trunking, EtherChannel, HSRP / VRRP, QoS

Wireless

- Enterprise Wi-Fi (WLC, APs, RF fundamentals)
- High-density Wi-Fi design (Wi-Fi 6 / 6E preferred)
- RF survey tools e.g. Ekahau (preferred)

Security

- Firewall (Palo Alto / Fortinet / Cisco)
- VPN, NAC, 802.1X, ISE
- Network segmentation
- ACL, NAT, security policies, IDS/IPS basics

Advanced Tech

- SDA(Cisco SD-Access / DNAC)
- SD-WAN / MPLS
- Network monitoring tools

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in IT / Networking / Electronics
- 4 8 years of experience in enterprise / large campus networks

Preferred Certifications

- CCNA / CCNP
- CWNA / Wireless certifications
- Firewall certifications (Palo Alto PCNSA, Fortinet NSE)

- Solid analytical and solution design skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing ability
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Sales, OEMs, Delivery)
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel based on project or client requirements
