Role & responsibilities
Strategic Product Leadership
- Own your domain roadmap tied to measurable OKRsdefine strategy, drive outcomes, and hold the line on scope discipline.
- Run structured Problem & Solution Discovery before committing to build; validate with leadership, customers, and cross-functional partners.
- Drive Go-To-Market readiness end-to-end: from inception through launch, adoption, and post-release success measurement.
AI-First Product Thinking
- Embed AI as a default lens across every phase of product managementchampion AI-native processes within your team.
- Own end-to-end development of AI-powered features, including evals and measurable outcome tracking.
- Leverage AI tooling to improve your PM workflow; model and share productivity gains with the broader team.
- Participate in AI forums; work toward defining team-level AI processes and contributing sessions or case studies.
- Ensure all AI features meet Cvent's responsible AI standards.
Execution Excellence & Platform Health
- Drive delivery accountability: sprint hygiene, backlog depth health, SLI/SLO monitoring, and prod bug leakage.
- Define strategy to reach OKRs, NPS, and key product metrics; socialize alignment to business goals with leadership.
- Make data-driven prioritization decisions using Mixpanel, ProductBoard, Sigma, and similar platforms.
- Write crisp, unambiguous product specs and user stories with full acceptance criteria before sprint start.
Stakeholder Influence & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the single point of accountability for product decisions in your domain; own escalation paths and surface deviations proactively.
- Lead multi-stakeholder alignment across Sales, CS,
Engineering, UX, and Leadership—with 360 feedback collected mid-year and annually.
- Present roadmap progress and risks clearly to leadership; no stakeholder should be chasing you for an update.
- Influence without authority—build alignment at all levels of the organization through trust, clarity, and data.
People Development & Team Capability
- Mentor junior PMs through structured 1:1s, skill development plans, and goal alignment—hold the bar on accountability.
- Build AI competency within your squad: assess baseline, design a learning path, and track adoption.
- Identify and create stretch opportunities for high performers; drive adoption of Cvent processes and tools.
- Contribute to improvements and a culture of continuous learning within the PM org.
Preferred candidate profile
- 12–15 years of experience with 7+ years in product management for technology products.
- Demonstrated experience building or shipping AI-powered products; hands-on proficiency with AI tools is required.
- Proficiency with analytics platforms (Mixpanel, Gainsight PX, Pendo, or similar) to measure and drive adoption.
- Strong product sense: can define strategy, articulate the "why," and translate ambiguity into clear roadmaps.
- Solid grasp of software development, integrations, and system design—able to earn deep technical credibility.
- Track record of mentoring PMs and elevating team capability, not just individual execution.
- Exceptional communicator and influencer—comfortable driving alignment across C-suite, engineering, and customers.
- Analytical, data-driven, and energized by complexity in a fast-paced SaaS setting.
