About the role





Masters Union is seeking a responsible, student-focused, and operationally strong Hostel Manager to oversee the smooth functioning of our student residences. The role requires balancing administrative efficiency with empathy, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging living setting for students.

Specifically, this role will involve

- Managing day-to-day hostel operations and logistics
- Overseeing room allocation, check-ins, check-outs, and occupancy records
- Ensuring maintenance, housekeeping, and facility management standards are met
- Coordinating with vendors and internal teams for seamless operations
- Acting as the primary point of contact for hostel residents
- Ensuring student safety, well-being, and overall satisfaction
- Addressing grievances, manage escalations, and enforce discipline when required
- Fostering a positive, inclusive, and community-driven hostel culture
- Ensuring adherence to hostel policies and institutional guidelines
- Maintaining proper documentation and records
- Handling emergency situations with prompt decision-making
- Collaborating with academic, operations, and student experience teams
- Maintaining transparent communication with students and relevant stakeholders

Ideal candidate will have

- Bachelors degree required; postgraduate preferred
- Prior experience in hostel/PG/student residence management preferred
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of ownership, responsibility, and empathy
- Ability to multitask and manage operations efficiently
