Software Engineer — Platform

Role Overview: You'll write code that powers systems handling massive scale — search, browse, recommendations, and

merchandising infrastructure used by some of the world's biggest retail brands. You'll work alongside senior engineers and architects,

learning how large-scale distributed systems are actually built and operated in production, while getting hands-on exposure to AI/ML

platforms, information retrieval, and enterprise-grade engineering practices. This is a role for someone who wants to fast-track their





growth by working on hard problems, at real scale, with real customer impact — not toy projects.

Experience: 2-3 Years

Skills: Java, Go, Python (any combination — willingness to learn across all three is a plus).

Key Responsibilities:

Write, test, and maintain high-quality code for components of our distributed platform.

Work with senior engineers to implement features and fixes across search, browse, recommendations, and merchandising

systems.

Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve code quality.

Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing systems, learning to reason about performance and reliability at scale. Get hands-on exposure to how AI/ML models are integrated into production systems.

Collaborate with your team to understand requirements and contribute to technical discussions.

Continuously learn new tools, languages, and practices relevant to platform and AI engineering.

Stay curious about what's happening in product discovery, search, and applied AI — and bring fresh ideas to the table.

What Will Set You Up for Success:

Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and at least one of Java, Go, or Python.

Genuine curiosity about distributed systems, search, or AI — you don't need to be an expert yet, just eager to become one.

Comfort with debugging and a mindset of digging in until you understand why something broke.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Exposure to information retrieval, ML basics, or system design concepts is a solid plus, but not required.
