The BIM team drives digital transformation by creating accurate 3D models, enabling clash detection, and supporting Scan-to-BIM workflows. Opportunities include advanced modelling, project coordination, automation using tools like Dynamo, and collaboration on global projects ideal for candidates passionate about innovation and multidisciplinary design.

AtkinsR alis Global Technology Centre (GTC) is seeking Apprentice to join our Bangalore & Gurugram office. This role involves working on single and multi-disciplinary Substation projects (Green field and Brown field), focusing on delivering high quality BIM and CAD outputs that meet international standards. The role spans Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution (T&D;), Renewables, Infrastructure, and nuclear domains.

Your Role

- Prepare SLDs, control schemes, layouts, 3D models, and hazardous area classifications.
- Develop substation layouts and infrastructure drawings including power, earthing, lighting, and protection systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with CAD/BIM standards.
- Engage in BIM and Scan-to-BIM workflows.
- Support project setup, customization, and delivery tracking.

About you

Essential:

- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation, Dynamo.
- Solid understanding of CAD/BIM standards and drawing protocols.
- Ability to prepare and check complex drawings.




- Familiarity with Electrical/Structural/Mechanical design basics.

Desirable:

- Exposure to international engineering standards (UK, India, Middle East, APAC)
- Understanding of 3D modelling concepts and BIM maturity levels
- Familiarity with:
- BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
- Xrefs / model linking
- Common Data Environments (CDEs)

- Interest or exposure to Scan to BIM workflows
