We are currently hiring for the position of Quality Engineer for one of our manufacturing clients.

Role Overview :

- The Quality Engineer will ensure that all manufactured machines, assemblies, and spare parts meet inhouse drawing specifications and meet customer expectations. The role involves supplier quality improvement, shop-floor quality control, interpretation of

OEM Belgium drawings.

- The engineer will coordinate closely with sourcing, production, and customer service teams, including handling quality or delivery risks related to current suppliers and ongoing orders. The role also includes supporting reliability analysis through run life calculations and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) evaluation for critical parts and

complete machines, along with driving rootcause analysis and continuous improvement.

Work Distribution:

- 60% Supplier Quality & Supplier Visits (initial phase)
- 40% Shop Floor Quality at Khopoli
- Note: This ratio will gradually shift toward more shopfloor focus as suppliers stabilize and the Khopoli factory becomes fully operational.

Supplier Quality :

- Conduct supplier evaluations,



capability assessments, and audits.
- Work with suppliers to improve machining quality and implement robust process controls.
- Ensure suppliers correctly interpret engineering drawings, GD& T, tolerances, and material standards.
- Support suppliers in scaling up quality for complex, high-precision components.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- 25 years experience in machining quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing QC.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes (CNC, VMC, fabrication, grinding).
- Handson experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of EN & IS material standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with GD&T.;
- Strong communication skills for interaction with OEM Belgium.
- Experience with QMS/ERP systems is an advantage.
