Role & responsibilities

- supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, biomedical support, etc.)

- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment, systems, and infrastructure.

- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and building regulations.

- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, service logs, and work orders.

- Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.

- Monitor the performance of utilities systems (generators, HVAC, water, electrical) and initiate corrective action as needed.

- Support emergency response systems (fire alarms, sprinkler systems, backup generators).

- Train and mentor maintenance team members to ensure high-quality service and adherence to protocols.

- Manage maintenance budget and inventory of supplies, tools, and spare parts.





- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facility systems and report deficiencies to the Facilities Manager.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical field.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.

- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.

- Solid knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and healthcare facility standards.

- Familiarity with healthcare-specific regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI).

- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.

- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
