The XML Executive is responsible for converting, validating, and maintaining XML files for publishing workflows, ensuring accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with client and publisher standards The role supports end-to-end content production and works closely with editorial, typesetting, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 1+ years of experience in XML production for academic/STM publishing

- Strong knowledge of XML, DTD standards

- Hands-on experience with XML Editor or similar XML tools

- Valuable understanding of publishing workflows (copyediting, typesetting, QA)

- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

- Basic scripting or automation knowledge (macros, regex) is an advantage

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 1+ years of experience in Epub production for academic/STM publishing
- Build and package reflowable and fixed-layout EPUB 2.0 and EPUB 3.0 files from raw source assets (InDesign, Word, HTML).
- Write and refine clean HTML5 and CSS3 code to ensure accurate layout, typography, and page formatting.
- Structure core EPUB manifest files, including package files (content.opf), navigation (nav.xhtml), and metadata tags.
- Validate files using EPUBCheck, FlightDeck, and other QA tools to resolve markup, link, and display errors.
