8–15 years of experience in utilities, process industries, energy, steam, or infrastructure projects

Role Summary-

The Manager / Senior Manager – Electrical & Instrumentation will be responsible for execution, monitoring, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for Steamhouse operations and client sites. The role focuses on reliable steam supply infrastructure, electrical systems, field instrumentation, statutory compliance, and coordination with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.

This is a hands-on techno-managerial role, with ownership of day-to-day operations rather than a corporate head position.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Instrumentation Operations-

* Manage HT/LT electrical systems, MCCs, PCCs, motors, VFDs, UPS, and control panels at Steamhouse plants and customer locations.

* Oversee field instrumentation related to steam pipelines, flowmeters, pressure & temperature instruments, and control valves.

* Ensure smooth functioning through preventive and breakdown maintenance.

* Track downtime, energy usage, and corrective actions.

Utilities & Steam Infrastructure-

* Support electrical & instrumentation requirements for boilers, steam distribution networks, and utilities.

* Coordinate power availability, electrical safety, and grid interfacing where applicable.

* Assist in commissioning and stabilization of new steam connections and facilities.

Projects & Site Execution-





* Execute electrical & instrumentation scope for recent customer onboarding, expansions, and modifications.

* Review drawings, BOQs, cable layouts, panel GA drawings, and instrument datasheets.

* Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and site teams for installation, testing, and commissioning.

* Support technical evaluations and vendor finalization (execution-level involvement).

Statutory Compliance & Safety-

* Ensure compliance with Electrical Inspectorate, CEIG, local electricity boards, and safety norms.

* Maintain statutory records, inspection readiness, and audit support.

* Implement electrical safety practices at sites and plants.

Maintenance Planning & Cost Control-

* Assist in preparation and monitoring of O&M; budgets and minor CAPEX.

* Control maintenance costs through spares planning and vendor optimization.

* Manage inventory of critical electrical and instrumentation spares.

* Team & Stakeholder Coordination

* Guide site technicians and junior engineers.

* Coordinate closely with Operations, Projects, Commercial, and Safety teams.

* Act as a technical point of contact for customers during execution and issue resolution.

Key Skills & Competencies

* Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (HT/LT)

* Working knowledge of instrumentation used in steam, utilities, and process plants

* Experience with panels, motors, VFDs, flowmeters, pressure & temperature instruments

* Site execution and contractor management

* Statutory compliance & safety awareness

* Practical problem-solving and coordination skills

*Qualification & Experience*

* Site-based execution and O&M; experience is essential

* Exposure to multi-site operations is a plus
