Job Responsibilities & Functional Area

1. Well conversant with day-to-day activities of the EOU unit within the plant.

2. Maintain day-to-day mandatory statutory records.

3. Report to the DC Office, including Quarterly Performance Reports and Annual Performance Reports of the unit.

4. File statutory returns within the stipulated timelines, including monthly, half-yearly, and yearly returns with the Customs Department. 5. Maintain the B17 Bond Register, which is required for duties and taxes leviable on goods imported.

6. Attend various Customs audits, statutory audits, and internal audits. 7. Handle surprise visits by government officials, including Customs Preventive, GST, FCO officers, and other regulatory authorities.

8. Ensure proper Customs and GST documentation in accordance with the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) and the rules and regulations laid down under the Customs Act and GST Act, covering DTA Sales, Branch Transfers, Deemed Exports, and Exports.

9. Conduct periodic physical stock verification of raw materials and finished goods and reconcile the same with the books of accounts.

10. Coordinate with the Production and Marketing Departments for monthly dispatch planning.

11. Coordinate with the Purchase and Accounts Departments for fund planning related to Customs Duty, cargo clearing charges, shipping line charges,



and port charges for the clearance of imported raw materials from the port.

12. Ensure timely availability of all required documents to CHA/Forwarding Agents for cargo clearance, including invoices, Bill of Lading (BL) copies, declarations, forms, bonds, and other statutory documents.

13. Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure cargo clearance without detention.

14. Perform effective container requirement calculations and coordinate with multiple freight forwarders to ensure timely container availability. 15. Finalize contracts with freight forwarders, including Incoterms and commercial counterparts.

16. Coordinate with transporters for container pickup and drop operations, including verification and clearance of transporter bills.

17. Coordinate with packaging and fumigation agencies to ensure smooth operations and timely bill clearance.

18. Coordinate with CHA and freight forwarders for shipment tracking and Customs clearance at the port.

19. Ensure availability of all post-shipment documents, including Bill of Lading (BL), Verified Gross Mass (VGM), and other shipping documents, as required by the Sales and Finance teams
