Role & responsibilities

1. Hospital Operations

- Assist in the day-to-day management of hospital operations.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all clinical departments.
- Monitor OPD, IPD, ICU, Emergency, Operation Theatre, and diagnostic services.
- Coordinate with HODs to resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure optimum utilization of hospital resources.

2. Clinical Coordination

- Coordinate with consultants, RMOs, DMOs, nursing, and allied health professionals.
- Monitor availability of doctors and adherence to duty rosters.
- Ensure timely patient consultations and clinical services.
- Support implementation of clinical protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

3. Quality & NABH Compliance

- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and hospital policies.
- Monitor implementation of quality indicators.
- Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.

4. Patient Care & Satisfaction

- Ensure high standards of patient safety and quality care.
- Handle patient complaints and coordinate timely resolution.
- Monitor patient feedback and satisfaction scores.
- Conduct regular patient rounds.

5. Infection Prevention & Safety

- Ensure compliance with Infection Control policies.
- Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings.
- Monitor biomedical waste management.
- Ensure implementation of fire safety and emergency preparedness protocols.

6. Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with:
- NABH Standards
- Clinical Establishment requirements
- Biomedical Waste Management Rules
- Fire Safety norms
- Statutory and legal requirements

- Coordinate during inspections by regulatory authorities.

7. Medical Records & Documentation

- Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
- Monitor discharge summary completion.
- Ensure proper documentation of consent forms and medico-legal cases.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

8. Manpower Management





- Coordinate with HR for doctor recruitment and credentialing.
- Monitor attendance and duty rosters of medical staff.
- Assess manpower requirements.
- Conduct orientation and training for medical staff.

9. Emergency & Critical Care Management

- Ensure effective management of casualty and emergency services.
- Coordinate disaster management and code blue activities.
- Monitor emergency response times.
- Ensure availability of emergency drugs and equipment.

10. Clinical Governance

- Monitor clinical outcomes and quality indicators.
- Participate in mortality and morbidity meetings.
- Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Support clinical audits and peer reviews.

11. Training & Education

- Organize CMEs, workshops, and clinical training programs.
- Conduct orientation programs for new doctors and interns.
- Promote continuous medical education.

12. Committees Coordination

Coordinate and participate in:

- Medical Audit Committee
- Infection Control Committee
- Antibiotic Stewardship Committee
- Mortality & Morbidity Committee
- Blood Transfusion Committee
- Biomedical Waste Committee
- Quality & NABH Committee
- Ethics Committee
- Patient Safety Committee

13. Reporting

Prepare and submit:

- Daily hospital census
- Bed occupancy reports
- Clinical KPI reports
- Patient safety indicators
- Incident reports
- Infection surveillance reports
- Mortality and morbidity statistics
- Monthly operational reports

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical knowledge, hospital administration expertise,



and leadership skills to ensure efficient hospital operations and quality patient care.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- MBBS from a recognized medical college (Mandatory).
- MD/DNB in Hospital Administration, MHA, or a Diploma in Hospital Administration is preferred.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council.
- Minimum 510 years of experience in hospital administration, clinical operations, or medical management in a multi-specialty hospital.
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals and a sound understanding of NABH standards and quality systems.
- Robust knowledge of hospital operations, patient safety, infection prevention and control (IPC), and clinical governance.
- Experience in coordinating with consultants, nursing services, allied health professionals, and support departments.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and effectively manage day-to-day hospital operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS), EMR, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage patient grievances, medico-legal cases, and emergency situations effectively.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, statutory compliance, biomedical waste management, and patient safety standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and handle emergency situations as required.
