Job Summary




We are seeking a dedicated and proactive L2 Network Engineer to take ownership of managing, monitoring, and supporting our critical enterprise network infrastructure. The successful candidate must possess deep hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies, exceptional network troubleshooting skills, and proven ability to effectively coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to guarantee high network availability and strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities

1. Network Design and Planning: Participate in the planning, design, and deployment of new network architectures and technologies, including capacity planning and system integration.
2. Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain the core LAN/WAN infrastructure, encompassing configuration and advanced troubleshooting of Cisco switching technologies (VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel) and dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF) alongside Static Routing.
3. Security Policy Management: Configure, manage, and continuously monitor Fortinet Firewalls, including implementing and maintaining VPN access, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA -Cloudflare) policies, and other firewall policy access controls.
4. Network Segmentation: Design and implement robust network segregation and segmentation strategies to enhance security posture and maintain regulatory compliance.
5. Operational Support: Provide Level 2 support for all network-related incidents, service requests, and complex escalations.
6. Performance and Incident Management: Proactively monitor network performance using established tools (preferably Datadog), identify potential issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA)



for critical incidents, and implement effective preventive measures.
7. Vendor and SLA Coordination: Handle all coordination with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) regarding internet downtime, link failures, and proactively ensure strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
8. Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for all network configurations, diagrams, and incident reports, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet business and infrastructure demands.
9. Support and troubleshoot all aspects of the wireless network infrastructure, preferably involving Ruckus Wireless Controllers.

- Required Skills & Expertise
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies.
• Hands-on experience in Cisco Switching (VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel).
• Good understanding of routing protocols (Static, EIGRP, OSPF).
• Experience with Fortinet Firewall configuration and management.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Datadog preferred).
• Experience in ISP coordination and SLA management.
• Strong network troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of wireless networking.
• Experience with VPN technologies.
• Experience with Fortimanager and Fortianalyzer.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
• Experience with Cloudflare or equivalent CDN/security solutions.
• Experience with SD-WAN solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
• Mandatory: Fortinet NSE 4 certification.
• Possession of relevant professional certifications, such as CCNA or CCNP.
• Experience with Wireless Controllers technology.
• A Graduate degree in a relevant field.
