About the Role:
We're hiring for a leading steel trading and distribution company for the role of Business Development Manager Steel Products, based out of Visakhapatnam. The role involves driving institutional, project-based, and corporate sales across a diverse product portfolio while expanding the client base across key market segments.

Products Handled: Structured Steel (Angle, Channel, Beam), Plates (HR/CR Coil, GP/GC Sheet), TMT (Primary & Secondary Grade)
Market Segments: Infrastructure, Construction, Hydro Projects, Manufacturing & other project-based industries

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing institutional accounts
- Generate and qualify leads, deliver sales presentations, and ensure end-to-end deal closures
- Build long-term client relationships through regular engagement and a strong understanding of client needs
- Act as primary liaison between clients and internal teams for smooth execution and timely resolutions
- Drive sales across institutional, project-based, and corporate segments with solution-driven offerings




- Conduct consistent follow-ups and continuously build the sales pipeline through new prospecting
- Deliver on acquisition and revenue goals through sustained client engagement

Qualifications Required:

- 4 - 9 years of experience in institutional, corporate, or project-based sales in steel-linked industries
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline; MBA preferred
- Solid track record in client-facing roles with proven target achievement

Skills Required:

- Technical knowledge of steel products, grades, specifications & applications (plus point)
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/sales reporting tools
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in field sales while coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel across assigned regions (Visakhapatnam & surrounding areas)
