Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the prospect to lead engineering and site execution activities for Marine System projects. Each day, you will oversee project engineering deliverables and site operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective execution in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project objectives. You will also demonstrate your ability by coordinating with stakeholders, managing site activities, and ensuring on-time project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

This role is contributing to the Automation Marine & ports division in-Bangalore-Peenya India region.

You will be mainly accountable for:

- Led engineering, design, and site execution activities for Marine & Ports Electrical Solutions projects, ensuring delivery in line with contractual, quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
- Engineered and integrated Marine Electrical Systems including VFDs, Automation & Control Systems, Power and Energy Management Systems, MV/LV Power Systems, and Protection & Monitoring Solutions.
- Managed technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and marine classification societies, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with project specifications.
- Performed equipment selection, preparation of technical specifications, vendor drawing reviews, and detailed engineering for marine electrical and automation systems.
- Coordinated closely with sales, project management, commissioning, procurement,



and site teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely system delivery.
- Executed site installation, commissioning support, and project documentation activities while ensuring adherence to HSE requirements, safe work practices, and regulatory standards.
- Identified project risks and opportunities, implemented mitigation strategies, and provided technical leadership to optimize project performance, system reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications for the role:

- Experience of 1015 years in engineering, design, and execution of Marine, Power, or Industrial Electrical Systems, with demonstrated technical leadership across complex projects.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical, Electronics, EEE, E&C;, or related Engineering disciplines, with solid technical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong expertise in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Automation & Control Systems, Power and Energy Management Systems (PMS/EMS), and MV/LV Electrical Distribution Systems.
- Practical experience in protection, control, and monitoring schemes, including system design, equipment selection, engineering reviews, and technical approvals.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, approve technical designs, and ensure alignment with project scope, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing technical interfaces with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout project engineering, execution, and commissioning phases.
- Willingness to travel globally (approximately 20%) to support engineering reviews, customer engagements, project execution, and site activities.
