Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

Manage the complete accounting function of the factory.

Ensure timely month-end and year-end book closures.

Prepare financial statements, balance sheet schedules, and MIS reports.

Monitor general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.

Costing & Manufacturing Finance

Oversee product costing, standard costing, BOM validation, and variance analysis.

Analyze production costs and recommend cost optimization initiatives.

Monitor manufacturing overheads and profitability by product/process.

Support pricing decisions through detailed cost analysis.

Inventory & Stores Accounting

Ensure accurate accounting of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, consumables, and scrap.

Conduct inventory reconciliation and physical stock verification.

Investigate stock variances and strengthen inventory controls.

Coordinate with stores, procurement, and production teams for inventory management.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

Prepare annual operating budgets and periodic forecasts.

Monitor actual performance against budgets and identify deviations.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to plant management.

Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory requirements.

Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, and cost audits.

Liaise with auditors, banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintenance of financial records.

Internal Controls & Governance

Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.

Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and approval processes.

Identify financial risks and implement corrective actions.

Support ERP implementation and process improvement initiatives.

Working Capital Management





Monitor receivables, payables, cash flow, and working capital.

Optimize inventory levels and vendor payment cycles.

Drive initiatives to improve cash flow and operational efficiency.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Lead, mentor, and develop the factory accounts team.

Collaborate with production, procurement, stores, HR, and corporate finance.

Present financial performance and key insights to senior management.

Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.

Qualifications

ICWA / M.Com or MBA (Finance).

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

Experience

17+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounts, preferably in a manufacturing or factory setting.

Strong exposure to cost accounting, inventory accounting, statutory compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar manufacturing ERP platforms.
