Role & responsibilities

1. Assisting in preparing case briefs, factual summaries, chronologies of events, legal research notes and compilations of relevant statutory provisions, judicial precedents and other reference materials for effective handling of legal matters.
2. Assisting in the day-to-day monitoring and coordination of litigation, including tracking court proceedings, maintaining litigation calendars, monitoring statutory timelines and coordinating with advocates, law firms and internal stakeholders for timely action.
3. Maintaining and updating legal files, litigation records, contract repositories, legal databases and other documentation to ensure proper record management and retrieval.
4. Assisting in the drafting, review and standardization of contracts, agreements and other legal documents, including Agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Leave and License Agreements, Powers of Attorney, Letters of Intent (LOIs), Indemnity Bonds, Agreements to Sell, Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds and other commercial documents.
5. Assisting in the review and vetting of legal documents received from various departments by identifying legal issues and incorporating standard legal safeguards.
6. Assisting in the preparation and coordination of complaints, FIRs, police complaints, replies,



notices and other legal communications relating to adulteration, counterfeiting, fraud or other offences affecting the Company's business and interests.
7. Preparing periodic legal MIS, litigation status reports, dashboards, management presentations and other reports to facilitate monitoring of legal matters and informed decision-making by management.
8. Supporting the administration of the Company's legal and compliance management systems, including monitoring action items, coordinating closure of non-conformities (NCs), maintaining compliance records and supporting internal and external audits.
9. Conducting legal research and remaining updated on developments in applicable laws, regulations and judicial pronouncements, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Negotiable Instruments Act, Consumer Protection Act, Essential Commodities Act, Fertilizer (Control) Order, Legal Metrology laws, Right to Information Act, Land Acquisition laws, Labour laws and other applicable legislations, and assisting in assessing their impact on the Company's operations.
