Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Design Engineer to design and develop sheet metal
components, assemblies, machine guards, enclosures, and fabrication drawings. The candidate should
have hands-on experience in CAD modelling, manufacturing processes, and preparation of detailed
fabrication drawings.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop sheet metal parts, machine guards, enclosures, panels,
brackets, and welded assemblies.
• Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and assembly
drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with customer requirements and manufacturing standards.
• Perform sheet metal calculations including bend allowance, bend deduction, and
flat pattern development.
• Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure smooth
manufacturing.
• Review and modify existing designs based on customer feedback and site
requirements.
• Support prototype development and design validation activities.
• Maintain design documentation and revision records.
Required Skills
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
• Positive knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, laser cutting, bending,
welding, and assembly.




• Ability to create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering standards.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Educational Qualification
• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in machine guarding, industrial enclosures, conveyors, fabricated
structures, or special-purpose machines.
• Knowledge of BOM preparation and production support activities.
