About the Role:

This position is with a Japan-based management consulting firm operating in Bangalore, driving Digital Transformation (DX) for businesses across Japan. Hiring is managed by INDIGILAB as a recruitment partner. Full company details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Zoho Platform Engineer to design, build, and integrate custom business applications on the Zoho platform spanning front-end widget development, back-end serverless logic, cross-system integrations, and AI-enhanced automation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and overseas Zoho partners to drive DX initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop custom applications on Zoho Creator, Zoho CRM, Zoho Catalyst, and the wider Zoho One suite
- Write robust business logic and automation using Deluge scripting custom functions, scheduled functions, and multi-step workflows
- Build custom front-end widgets using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React.js / Angular) to extend Zoho UI
- Develop and maintain external integrations connecting Zoho with third-party platforms via REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth 2.0
- Write COQL and SQL queries for advanced data retrieval and reporting
- Build backend services using Python and Zoho Catalyst (serverless functions, cron jobs, data store)




- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities (Zoho Zia, Azure OpenAI, or comparable services) for intelligent automation
- Collaborate with Japanese business stakeholders to translate requirements into Zoho system specifications
- Produce technical documentation and participate in code reviews and QA

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of hands-on Zoho development experience (Creator, CRM, Deluge scripting)
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development (Flask / Django / FastAPI)
- Experience with React.js or Angular for building Zoho custom widgets
- Demonstrated experience with REST API design and integration (OAuth 2.0, webhooks)
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Creator application design
- Ability to work independently and deliver end-to-end solutions
