Role : Hardware Lab Engineer

Location: Whitefield/Bangalore

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Hardware Lab Engineer to support hardware validation, laboratory testing, and automation of engineering test documentation. The role combines hands-on lab testing with software-driven automation activities using Python and AI-based tools. Candidates with a Mechanical Engineering background and exposure to hardware product testing, instrumentation, and automation tools are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Documentation (50%)

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python for: Test data collection /Report generation /Test result analysis /Documentation workflows /Equipment communication and logging
- Use AI-based tools and workflows to improve: Test documentation efficiency /Report summarization /Data organization /Engineering productivity
- Automate repetitive lab activities and standardize test procedures.
- Perform hardware validation and reliability testing on engineering prototypes and products.
- Execute environmental, mechanical, electrical, and functional tests as per defined procedures.




- Set up and operate laboratory equipment and test fixtures.
- Record observations, analyze test data, and prepare structured reports.
- Support debugging, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations.
- Coordinate with hardware, mechanical, and quality teams during validation activities.
- Ensure laboratory organization, calibration tracking, and safe operation practices.
- Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in: Mechanical Engineering /Mechatronics
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hardware testing, engineering labs, or validation environments.
- Robust programming skills in: Python
- Familiarity with: AI-assisted engineering tools /Automation workflows /Data analysis and scripting
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments and hardware test setups.
- Ability to create structured technical documentation and reports.
- Basic understanding of electronics, sensors, instrumentation, and hardware systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
