Purpose/Objective

The role of the Vocational Training Officer focuses on managing processes to meet production targets while prioritizing safety training initiatives and compliance.
They maintain records, conduct simulations, and facilitate effective training for new officers and employees to foster a culture of safety and productivity in the mining setting.

Key Responsibilities of Role

VTO - Coal Mining Training Program Development: Design and deliver training sessions covering operational procedures and safety protocols.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure participation and effectiveness of training initiatives.
Budget Management: Identify training needs and prioritize budget allocation accordingly.
Monitor expenditure and adjust budget as necessary to accommodate evolving training requirements.
Training Needs Analysis: Assess competency levels through skill evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
Develop personalized training plans to address identified areas of improvement.
Compliance with MVTR 1966: Deliver theoretical and practical training on mine operations and safety protocols.
Conduct Reorientation Training for discontinued non-statutory personnel to refresh their knowledge and skills.
Vocational Refresher Training: Review and update training content to reflect industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Provide hands-on training to reinforce learning and improve retention.
Capability Building: Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNI) to identify skill gaps and training requirements across various job roles.




Provide new joinee trainings to ensure effective onboarding and familiarization with mine operations and safety protocols.
Develop and implement an annual training calendar focusing on technical skill enhancement in areas such as safety, blasting, gas testing, explosives handling, HEMM operation, and first aid.
Facilitate statutory and safety trainings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety among employees.
Organize vocational refresher trainings to update employees' knowledge and skills in line with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Conduct competency evaluations, assessments, and certifications to validate employees' skills and ensure competency in their respective roles.
Implement and Optimize Digital Solutions: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy digital tools that align with business objectives.
Ensure the effective utilization of digital platforms to improve team efficiency and productivity.

Educational Qualification: Essential: B.
Tech/B.
E-Mining with First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency Work Experience (Range of years): 10-15 years
