About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in test automation, Selenium, Python/Java, API testing, and Agile methodologies. You will play a key role in designing automation frameworks, ensuring product quality, and driving testing best practices across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with QA Leads, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software releases.
• Own the complete Software Testing Lifecycle, including:
Functional Testing
Regression Testing
Performance Testing
Automation Testing
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable automation frameworks, preferably using BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) practices.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend testing.
• Build and implement QA strategies focused on early automation adoption and continuous quality improvement.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to identify defects early and improve overall software quality.
• Establish and maintain QA best practices, governance processes, and testing standards.
• Define and track QA metrics, KPIs, and test coverage to ensure release readiness.
• Support management of QA and UAT environments as needed.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, including AI-driven testing and No-Code/Low-Code automation tools.

Required Skills & Experience




• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing.
• Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java for automation scripting.
• Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks, preferably BDD-based (Cucumber, Behave, etc.).
• Solid understanding of:
Test Automation
Manual Testing
Test Planning
Functional Testing
Regression Testing
• Hands-on experience with API/Backend Automation Testing (REST APIs, Postman, Rest Assured, etc.).
• Experience with Performance Testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within distributed teams.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with AI-powered software testing tools.
- Exposure to No-Code/Low-Code automation platforms.
- Experience with DevOps practices and Continuous Testing.
- Knowledge of QA/UAT environment management.
- Experience in the Financial Services domain.
- Leadership or mentoring experience is an added advantage.
