Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer with 1/5 years of experience in aerospace or related industries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CATIA and SolidWorks, with a robust focus on designing components for machining processes. This role involves creating precision aerospace parts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop aerospace components using CATIA and SolidWorks, emphasizing machinability (e.g., CNC milling, turning) and adherence to technical specifications.
- Create detailed 2D/3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings optimized for machining and manufacturing.
- Perform simulations (e.g., stress analysis, thermal analysis) to validate designs.
- Collaborate with machining, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, GD&T;) and machining best practices.
- Design components with consideration for machining tolerances, tooling requirements, and material selection.




- Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of machined components.
- Maintain documentation for design changes, revisions, and approvals.
- Stay updated with advancements in CAD software, machining technologies, and aerospace trends.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with CATIA and SolidWorks in aerospace or precision machining environments.
- Proficiency in GD&T;, DFM/DFA, and materials commonly used in machining (e.g., aluminum, titanium, composites).
- Strong understanding of machining processes (CNC milling, turning, grinding) and fabrication methods (sheet metal, additive manufacturing).
- Experience designing for high-volume production and tight tolerances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with simulation tools
- Knowledge of PLM/PDM systems
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 standards.
