Manager/ Sr. Manager -Procurement (Raw Material)

Job description

- Responsible for direct procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials (APIs & Excipients) for both domestic and export markets.
- Execute strategic and volume-based purchases with strong negotiation skills to secure the best terms.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and supply conditions with vendors for regular raw material purchases.
- Review pending orders and follow up to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials, aligning with production schedules.
- Monitor approvals and rejections of materials in coordination with the quality team.
- Conduct monthly material planning, inventory management, and address non-moving inventory.



Regularly review and monitor MRP to prevent under- or over-procurement.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly procurement plans based on production requirements.
- Identify and develop current vendors while maintaining and updating the vendor database.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices.
