Purpose: To ensure safe plant operations during assigned shifts by implementing safety systems, monitoring compliance with statutory requirements, and proactively preventing incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and ensure safe operations during the assigned shift across plant. Conduct regular safety rounds and identify unsafe acts/conditions; ensure timely corrective actions.
- Enforce safety rules, SOPs, work permits, and PPE compliance on the shop floor.
- Issue and monitor Permit to Work (Hot Work, Confined Space, Height Work etc).
- Ensure safe startup, shutdown, and emergency handling during shift operations.
- Conduct preliminary incident investigation and reporting. Ensure immediate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor contractor activities for adherence to safety standards.



Ensure contractor safety compliance and toolbox talks before commencement of work.
- Monitor handling, storage, and transfer of hazardous chemicals. Ensure compliance with MSDS, labeling, and chemical compatibility norms.
- Promote safety culture and employee engagement in safety initiatives.

- Robust understanding of chemical and process safety
- Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and emergency response
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently in shift operations
- High safety awareness and decision-making ability

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. with Diploma in Industrial Safety

Nature of Experience:

3 to 7 years of safety experience in chemical or process manufacturing
