About Us

Versa Drives Private Limited is a leading electronics manufacturing company specializing in motor control technology and energy-efficient electronic products. We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement, ensuring uninterrupted material availability, cost optimization, supplier excellence, and on-time support for manufacturing operations.

Position Summary

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for planning, sourcing, purchasing, and managing the end-to-end procurement process to ensure timely availability of quality materials at the optimum cost. The role requires strong expertise in supplier management, strategic sourcing, inventory optimization, cost reduction, and cross-functional coordination to support production and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production plans and business objectives.

Source electronic components, PCBAs, electrical parts, motors, mechanical components, packaging materials, and indirect materials.

Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service performance.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts, annual rate agreements, and lead times to achieve cost competitiveness.

Ensure uninterrupted material availability to meet production schedules and customer delivery commitments.

Monitor purchase orders, supplier deliveries, and material shortages, and take proactive actions to avoid production disruptions.

Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternate sourcing, localization, and strategic supplier negotiations.

Collaborate with Production, PPC, Stores, Quality,



R&D;, Finance, and Logistics to ensure seamless material planning and execution.

Monitor inventory levels, ageing stock, slow-moving inventory, and material consumption to optimize working capital.

Develop supplier performance scorecards and conduct periodic supplier performance reviews and audits.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ERP/MRP systems, ISO 9001 standards, and company procedures.

Prepare procurement MIS reports, cost-saving reports, vendor performance reports, and management dashboards.

Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to improve operational efficiency and supplier relationship management.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ECE, EEE)

10–12 years of experience in Procurement.

Mandatory experience in Electronics Manufacturing, EMS, PCB Assembly, Electrical Products, or Component Sourcing.

Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, vendor development, ERP/MRP systems, BOM management, inventory planning, import/domestic procurement, negotiation, and supply chain management.
