Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer with 6+ years of experience in creating, managing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in developing user guides, API documentation, system documentation, release notes, and other technical content. This role requires hands-on experience with DITA authoring tools and the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and Customer Support teams to deliver accurate, structured, and user-centric documentation for both technical/administrative and end-user audiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, installation guides, administration manuals, API documentation, system documentation, online help, and release notes.
- Develop structured, reusable content using DITA standards and XML-based authoring tools.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, QA, UX, and Support teams to understand product features and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.
- Produce documentation for technical administrators, developers, and end users.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Manage documentation versions and updates in line with product releases.
- Follow documentation standards, style guides, and information architecture best practices.
- Review and improve existing documentation for usability, readability, and technical accuracy.
- Participate in sprint planning, feature discussions, and release readiness activities.
- Work with source control systems and documentation publishing workflows.




- Contribute to documentation process improvements and content governance initiatives.

Required Skills Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, English, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in software product companies.
- Strong hands-on experience creating:
- User Guides
- API Documentation
- System/Administrator Documentation
- Release Notes
- Installation Configuration Guides
- Knowledge Base Articles

- Hands-on experience with DITA XML and DITA authoring tools (such as Oxygen XML Editor, Adobe Experience Manager Guides, IXIASOFT, or similar).
- Excellent technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and developer documentation.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to different audiences.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Knowledge of Markdown, HTML, CSS, or scripting basics.
- Experience with documentation publishing platforms and content management systems.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, SaaS products, or enterprise software.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and documentation review workflows
