The Role
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain IBM MQ environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production.
- Monitor and troubleshoot IBM MQ queues, queue managers, channels, listeners, and clusters.
- Perform installation, configuration, administration, and basic troubleshooting of IBM ACE and IBM DataPower environments.
- Support Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solutions and ensure seamless message flow between applications.
- Perform middleware upgrades, patching, migration, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to maintain optimal availability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine administrative tasks using Shell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Work closely with application development, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve production issues.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in on-call support and work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM MQ Administration.
- Good working knowledge of IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Experience with Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) concepts and middleware technologies.
- Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway administration and support.
- Fair knowledge of scripting using Shell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages for automation.
- Experience in middleware monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
- Familiarity with high availability, clustering, SSL/TLS, security, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience in production support for mission-critical enterprise environments.
- Exposure to ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- IBM Middleware-related certifications will be an added advantage.
- Experience with monitoring and automation tools is desirable.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud).
- Knowledge of container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
