Azure Data Architect

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Architect with 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics and at least 5 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance up-to-date data solutions, driving data modernization initiatives, and working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver data-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Solution Design

- Design and architect enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure.
- Define scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures aligned with business requirements.
- Design modern data lake, data warehouse, and analytics solutions.
- Develop end-to-end data architecture roadmaps and reference architectures.
- Establish data governance, security, and data management best practices.

Data Engineering & Modernization

- Lead data migration and modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to Azure.
- Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Architect batch and near real-time data processing solutions.
- Drive performance optimization, scalability, and reliability of data platforms.

Data Modeling & Warehousing

- Design and implement enterprise data models.
- Apply dimensional modeling techniques including:
- Star Schema
- Snowflake Schema
- Denormalized Data Models
- Data Vault Modeling

- Design and manage data warehouse and data lake architectures.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and leadership teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.




- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across projects.
- Conduct architecture reviews and recommend best practices.

Governance & Data Management

- Implement data governance, metadata management, lineage, and cataloging strategies.
- Define data quality, security, compliance, and monitoring frameworks.
- Support enterprise data management initiatives using Microsoft Purview.

- Strong experience designing enterprise-scale data lakes and data warehouses.
- Proven experience leading architecture discussions and stakeholder engagements.
